What time is an appropriate curfew for your teenage son/daughter? At what age do you let your son/daughter wander the Manchester mall unattended? Do you know what goes on at the mall? This parent group meets monthly to attempt to answer just these types of questions.
Parenting Adolescents 101 is an education and discussion group to support parents concerned about raising healthy kids in a culture that does not always promote healthy lifestyles. The focus is on normal developmental issues that families face. The group is facilitated by Sue Mullen, Ross A., Lurgio Counselor; and Donna LaRue, Youth Counselor at Ross A. Lurgio, Bedford High School and West High School. We will meet the second Thursday of every month in the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School Library from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Click here for this month's topic.
The group is open to all. Come one time or every month to talk or just listen as concerns are raised. This group is appropriate for parents of middle and high school aged students. For additional information, call the Ross A. Lurgio Middle School’s Guidance Office at 310-9100 or Sue Jones at 497-4818 ext. 239.
